Hexylene Glycol is a clear liquid with a mild, sweet odour most commonly used in cosmetics and personal care products in the formulation of hair and bath products, eye and facial makeup, fragrances, personal cleanliness products, and shaving and skin care products. It helps to improve the texture and sensory feel of the formulation, functioning as a surfactant to cleanse and moisturise the skin, as an emulsifier and a viscosity-reducing agent to improve absorption and allow other ingredients to work better.
